Infinite galaxies, iridescent constellations that speak of distant worlds, psychedelic visions and kaleidoscopic explosions. In a word: light.
Light which, as if liberated by a myriad of planets like luminous points in space, becomes pure energy that transforms into motion when transposed to fluid, fresh, lightweight fabrics; when it falls on garments, defining their contours in a constant equilibrium of contrasts. Maxi lengths that leave the ankle exposed thus alternate with ultra minis in a subtle play of nude and clothed, of sky and earth.
Natural elements emanate their own glow in the form of evanescent halos, and the luminosity draws new energy from the hydrangeas immersed in the aurora borealis, taking life in the form of applications of irisé and diamond-cut stones with a thousand facets, and in the flowers that expand and extend across all-over graphics with a post-modern, futuristic attitude.
The spare, essential forms are the shell of a precious and unexpected content: along the perimeter of the rigorous and geometric lines that dress a woman like folded and profiled hankies, there is color, substance.
Colors which, in a fluid explosion of vitality, constitute a unique and original palette. Starting with the names, evocative expressions like Pandora, topaz, star, neon, sunrise, light and deep, chosen to describe all the nuances, which range from midnight blue and violet to total black, red and gold.
And like the colors, the textures are combined, overlapped and juxtaposed to create a harmonious contrast. Satin and charmeuse for sensual dresses, ultralight printed viscose for knit twin sets, lurex insets and fil coupé fabrics with polka-dots or silver lamé.
The protagonists and leitmotiv of the collection: neoprene and lacquer, alternated and combined in cylindrical heels enlivened by zig-zag profiles and playful pop music motifs, in super flat sandals dressed in leather with the rhythm of convex portholes, laying bare the magic dot motif thereby created.
The push toward constant research and experimentation is confirmed and renewed in the XS and XXL Nova and Supernova bags and the bucket and backpack models Cassiopea and Elysium.
Bags that embody the themes and principles that inspired the collection, as evidenced in the innovative choice of materials like neoprene and lacquer, in the unique workmanship with a hyper-contemporary flair thanks to the use of foam fabrics, in the original, compact forms and proportions, and in the use of light that reflects and refracts through the rows of stones and meteorites of gold of the Venus bag, the purest expression of femininity.

The force of character is in the open and blatant expressions of friction, the liveliness of mind in the disdain for conventional concepts and chains of command. All against the backdrop of an exquisitely Italian taste for luscious colors and materials, the pure pleasure of sensuous sophistication.
The collection puts a strong cut-up slant on construction, dovetailing pragmatic facets and luxurious effects, playing with and contradicting mere appearances. Army/couture, opulent/functional, daytime/evening, masculine/feminine, severe/sensual take turns setting a clear agenda, yet always complying with instinctive impulses, a free and fanciful aesthetic flair very much about natural desires, scarcely about thought processes.
Precious stones define pins on ladylike pullovers, trace utilitarian slings on mannish organza shirts, dot edgings on long skirts. Nothing is what it seems: little blouse & skirt combos are actually dresses, the military topcoat finds a smart new identity in dress form.
Everything has a special glow: bright sequins make a lavish statement on macramé skirts and jackets, embroidery designs capture all the fun of surrealistic art. High rise pants with a boyish appeal alternate with short top & lace skirt ensembles, tartan patterns come in multiples on organza.
The vertical silhouette’s fulcrum point is the waist, with sturdy stone-encrusted and cabochon-studded leather belts heightening the impact. Non-stretch fabrics (Mackintosh cotton, organza, cigaline, jute cloths) vary in weight while also capitalizing on a gorgeous palette of blush pink, vivid green, khaki, tan and black shades with hints of red.
Lastly, shoes throw the season’s image off balance and re-establish equlibriums, as in the surreal duchesse mules with big bows in rich wine, green and mustard hues.

The color nude is the backbone of this collection: a transparent hue not defined by color. The color nude is symbolic of lightness, individual strength and a strong character. In this collection, we see nude macramé pants and skirts decorated with tri-dimensional petal appliqués, jumpsuits with softly pleated lapels and pants, culottes as slips.
In a darker shade of nude we find tubular organza ribbons placed on chiffon which create a woven, tri-dimensional effect on both long and short dresses. The intangible nature of mousseline silk, white cotton and pastel organza gowns with floral embellishments, reminiscent of ceramic.
The suede fringe enhances this sense of lightness, completing the gowns and macramé embellished ponchos. Suede vests and gowns, hand woven or carved are lengthened by asymmetrical fringe, just like the handbags and shoes.
These accessories take this collection towards a new, bohemian freedom filled with knowledge and awareness. A collection that celebrates the unique woman who refuses to be defined or belong to a group.

Monday, 8 September, 2014 is the date the “Yes” vote for Scottish Independence tipped over into the lead in the polls. I am so excited, fingers crossed they’ll win. Because, if they do, it could be the turning point towards a better world. They could lead by example.
Scottish Independence could be a great day for Democracy. They already have a more democratic financial system, e.g. no tuition fees, and they care more for people.
They just wouldn’t do what we’re doing in England. In London they are pulling down council flats and building luxury apartments. They plan 200 more high rise luxury apartments – for speculators.
In England there is hardly any democracy left. The government does what it wants. That which should belong to people – it gives it all to business, e.g. they’re prepared to poison our water so that businesses can frack.
The most important thing I have to say is that after 300 years, the capitalist system is now at an end. It’s over. Yet the English government – all main parties – want to drag us down with it. We want Scotland to break the deadlock and march into the future.
We English have to fight our government. You, Scotland, can have the government you want.
