WOMAN SUMMER 2015
Ennio Capasa, designer:
Persuing the ideas and immagination of my last Resort collection that was presented in June in New York. For my Summer 2015 collection I twisted rock n’ roll and refiniment to describe the free spirited woman of today, still remaining faithful to the hard-edged sophistication of Costume National.
The “Menhir” of the young artist Antonio Forteleoni, brought me to the “Stonehenge free music festival”. This festival represents at his origin, the place of expression to youth culture in search for change, a natural location to gather and immagine the future. A place where the energy accumulates and renews…

HOMME
FALL 2014
Ennio Capasa, designer:
Feeling low, feeling a hero, wishing for a change. This is today’s state of mind.
Coming out from the excess of the previous decade, we are searching for meaningful values in an era of contradictions, as David Bowie did between 1977 and 1979. He moved to Berlin where he transformed and worked on three incredible albums: Low, Heroes, and Lodger. He inspired me for this collection as he did many times in my career. Knowing that “we can be heroes for ever and ever”!

ANGRY YOUNG MEN
Ennio Capasa, designer:
” Anger. A global feeling, dissacrating, prelude to change, an energy I feel pulse through today’s youth. At the end of 50′s this feeling became a shore towards rebellion changing men’s costumes and attitudes. From them on progressing through the 60′s and 70′s, the younger generation repossesses themselves and the world for an instant. I hope it happens again. Soon. Today. Rock and roll! “
Outerwear
60′s tailoring, sartorial construction and military reference. Line cut felt and Japanese technical fabrics, maxi lengths, leather biker.
Knitwear
Seasonal must: bikers combined with maxi knitted cardigans, turtle-neck knits in cachemire, jaquard and angora wool.
Trousers
Two fits: skinny and cropped jogging.
Fabrics
Matched fabrics, “fur effect” and cloth. Cloth and jersey, canvas and lamè. Skinny corded velvet, mixed mohair. Wool with retrò satin armours.
Colors
Ice, electric blue, midnight blue, black.

Ennio Capasa, designer:
“The essence of CoSTUME NATIONAL HOMME for the Summer 2013 lies in the new wave and post punk movement which, to date, is still full of vitality and one of my main sources of inspiration.
As the soundtrack for this runway show, I chose a brand new song by Angus Stone, one from The Liars, and a fragment of David Bowie’s African Night Flight, inspired by a trip he made from London to Mombasa.
The CoSTUME NATIONAL HOMME man moves in a lightweight black leather sahariana, or in a super tailored, seamless lazer cut suit in cotton silk. This is how the rebel chic attitude is at once conveyed, and the story that I tell and that tells me, inevitably unfolds.”

For the CNC Costume National FW 2012/2013 Collection, Ennio Capasa has imagined a woman in a virtual metropolis, mixing and matching street-wear and evening wear.
He has re-interpreted parkas, bikers and tuxedo focusing on the contrast between different textures and light. These young women who cross the city in seven-league boots are post-punk, post-chic but above all tecnological.

Inspired by Rock’n Roll roots. This is a theme that Ennio Capasa has already dealt with in his career, but today he wants to interpret in a completely new way looking towards the future and pushing himself further in research and technological experiments. He used Ultrasound a laser technique that fuses the ends of the fabric without creating thicknesses. The innovative energy form the 1950’s meets the innovative iconic tailoring of Costume made of laser cuts and completely full articles of clothing.
A multitude of shades of Gray, Red, Indian red, Midnight blue, black checkered fantasies , and houndstooth.
Tailored jackets, but reinvented in all its details, shaped and inspired by the biker world, which become even reversible raincoats or blazers.
