KENZO FALL WINTER 2017-18 COLLECTION – PARIS FASHION WEEK
Kenzo Women’s & Men’s collections for Fall/Winter 2017/18
A discovery of an arctic surfing subculture led us to a wardrobe that combines wild protection with an urban sensibility. Celebrating the women and men who experience as raw an environment as it gets, and hoping for it to continue forever.
Vivid colors appear throughout – winter blue and raincoat yellows. Prints include geo tiger patterns, checks and argyles, Hawaiian meets arctic surfer floral, glacier beach and degrade aurora borealis. Knits are intricate and robust. Northern folklores appear with ribbon on dresses and skirts.
Shearlings in orange are propped up against peplum parkas. Dresses feature x-ray layering. Ready-for-survival, shrunken ski gear. Coats auto-affixed to blazers and leather argyles.
The use of our backstage as the set for this show was a conscious decision to create dialogue with ideas for us and to contribute financially to their cause. In addition, for Fall 2017 we have partnered with earth guardians to create products that will further push their message.

HENRIK VIBSKOV FALL WINTER 2017-18 MEN’S COLLECTION – PARIS FASHION WEEK
The Five O’ Clock Leg Alignment Autumn / Winter 2017 Listen up!In the twisted and surreal set-up of Vibskov, deformed yogis are aligned to perform series of synchronized movements in a controlled rusty red temple. This area – between the balanced and unbalanced – is where The Five O’clock Leg Alignment is setto happen.
The mind is filled with noise in today’s fast paced and hectic world where people spend time and effort concentrating on the surface demands. Harmony in the mind and body is the key to ultimate wellness and happiness. Exercises are expression of play which allow people to go beyond imagination through direct physical activity.
Sports tracks with bending graphical lines, mind zones,striped sporting uniforms and games from our childhood have inspired the Vibskov design team for A/W17. Thisseason the collection has even greater variety in surfaces and materials; bonded wool, coupé-jacquards woven in France, heavy unwashed and washed denim, waxed British cotton, printed plissé, Thermo-coats where the filling is made out of recycled plastic bottles and chunky knitwear produced locally in Denmark.
The eye gets challenged by the round shapes in stripes, partly gathered and frilled or overlapping in different layers. The colours and artworks remind us of painted wooden toys, puzzles and board games from the 60s were monochrome prints were hand-coloured and earth tones dominated the graphics.
